Paul Kyre, in another post you said

"These POWS, i think they are being pressed for service.
by the way, how could these germans used asians? i think after using them they would exterminate them. for they are not aryans."

But now you are saying that the Asians who fought for the Germans were praised by the Germans?

These are just Japanese volunteers, mostly from the IJA. but how about Asian POWs pressed for German Service? of course these Asians who are forcibly pressed for the SS are used for slave labor as well as one of its fighting force. Like Chinese, Koreans, or from Turkestan, aside from Guard or fighting duties, they are often used in Labor. or i should say slave labor.
I think these Japanese Volunteers are acting like Legion Walloonie, the LVF, the Blue Battalion, and the RONA.

No Japanese served in the Waffen-SS. End of story.

Hi Mannet,

No, these photos do not show Japanese in German uniform.

There were hundreds of thousand of Eastern Volunteers in the Wehrmacht, numbers of whom looked more oriental that western.

However, after nearly 20 years this thread has yet to throw up any evidence of any Japanese in German uniform.

Cheers,

Sid.

Hello Gentlemen,
The Asian soldier in the Heer uniform captured by US forces on D-Day was Korean, and with a fascinating story:
