Re: Romanian SS officers
Ok, I know this post is like 9-10 years old, but I have some information on what you are looking.
Romulus Opriş was a member of the Legionary Movement (Mişcarea Legionară; other names are Legiunea "Arhanghelul Mihai" (Legion "Archangel Michael"); Garda de Fier (The Iron Guard); Partidul "Totul pentru Ţară" ("Everything for the Country" Party). Mişcarea Legionară was the Romanian fascist movement, founded in 1927, the one that took the power in 6 September 1940, together with Marshall Ion Antonescu (then a general). It held power until 21-23 January 1941, when a local rebelion started, called "The Legionary Rebelion" (Rebeliunea Legionară). The Legion's leaders were Corneliu Zelea Codreanu from June 1927 until November 1938, when he was assassinated by King Carol II, and from then until well into 1994, when it was in exile, by Horia Sima.
Romulus Opriş was a "chestor" (chief) of the Bucharest's Police and it was responsible for the Jilava Massacre in late 1940, a mass murder conducted by the legionaries against their former enemies.
Ion Potecănaşu might've been the priest Ion Potecaşu, a member of the Legionary Movement, but I can't be sure 100%.
Mitică Popa was another member of the Legionary Movement,
Bărbulescu might've been Marin Bărbulescu, also a member of the Legionary Movement, fighter on the Eastern Front, in the liberation of Bessarabia, prisoner of Ion Antonescu. He escaped in 1944 and fled in the West and reached Vienna, where Horia Sima, after 23 August 1944, when Romania switched sides, formed a National Romanian Government, and also a so-called liberation army.

Adding a small detail to Sedativ's information: Romulus Opriş was a lawyer in Sibiu before becoming a chestor, according to "De la Cotul Donului la Aiud" by Tiberiu Hentea.

Re: Romanian SS officers
Hello All
First of all , the very best wishes for 2021 from me.
Now on to bussiness:
I am looking for all information on the following SS-Standartenoberjunker (possibly Rumanian) who apparently erved in the SS-PzJagAbt 22 of the 22 SSFrw Kav Division:
- Oberjunker Caramiciu
- Oberjunker Dumitrescu
- Oberjunker Fracasani
The names appear/sound Rumanian to me, but I can be wrong (would not be the first time or last)
Anyhow thanks in Advance
Nico
