Re: Turkish Army 1930-1945
Hello,
the inter war and WW2 Turkish army had pale grey (winter or cold weather) and khaki drill/mustard yellow/sandy summer uniforms.
Was the main Turkish uniform the grey one with the khaki -sandy uniform issued in the hot summer months ?
Or the sandy/ light khaki uniform as the main uniform with the grey one issued in winter ?
Ken.

Looking at the photos Tosun has posted , it looks like the lighter coloured summer uniform was mostly worn.

Very interesting photo, anyone know when the Turkish army introduced the British helmets ? did they completely replace the Adrian helmets ?
I think the Turkish units sent to Korea in 1950 initially had the British helmets before they were replaced by U S helmets.

1942 summer uniform from my collection
Look at British belts. That means British aid arrived in 1942 or late 41
