YEEEEEES!
It was a difficult question as the guy was not a flamboyant fascist like Oswald Mosley.
But he was nevertheless interned at the begining of WWII because of his supposed pro-Axis sympathies (he considered himself a patriot as is often the case .....).
Over to you.

hi,

I`m sorry to have neglected this one ...

after two more weeks without any attempt / response to the question or the helpful hint ...

here´s the solution: Ludwig Quidde, and the Peace Nobel Prize.

The floor is declared open to the next contributor.

greetings, the pb

Seeing that no new question has been asked, I'll keep the quiz moving.

What event was commemorated by the following stamp?

Image
"Air superiority is a condition for all operations, at sea, in land, and in the air." - Air Marshal Arthur Tedder.

Hello!
Graham, you should cover the text in Polish on the stamp, as it gives direct answer to your question!
Even people who don't know Polish, but know Ukrainian language (like myself :) ) can quite easily read it.

Best regards, Aleks

OK.
The stamp is dedicated to 40th anniversary of the Third Silesian Uprising of 1921.

Aleks,

Correct. Your turn to ask a question.
