Seeking help on a US Army unit fighting in Europe for my close friend.
His father fought in WW2.I told him I would use my skill as a researcher and try to find more info out.
Love to know the route they took, battles fought, etc.

Hi GH,
Maybe it helps you a little bit.
https://laststandonzombieisland.com/tag ... -regiment/
The 1st battalion was in the city of Hotton (near Marche en Famenne) during the Battle of the Bulge
Also in the villages of Amonines and Biron (those two villages are situated in the vicinity of Hotton. (December 1944-January 1945)
I think that after that, the Regiment was also in Holland and in Germany (Ruhr area)
I a hope it helps you!
Kindly regards from Belgium.
Prosper
