According to Heinz Ulrich's Die Infanterie-Divisionen "Ulrich von Hutten" und "Theodor Körner" in den letzten Tagen des II. Weltkriegs bei der 12. Armee Wenck there were some fighting around the village of Thurland on the 16 and 17 of April, 1945. I'm interested in details of this battle. Is it known what units took place. Ulrich mentions a German force of:

I assume it was a company of the first battalion, Regiment 1, Div "Hutten". Does anyone know which company, who was the company commader?

The opposing American force is mentioned to be a battalion with tank and artillery support. Does anyone know from what battalion/regiment/division?

Apparently H company / 414th inf.regiment / US 104th Infantry.
Check archives: http://www.104infdiv.org/ for details.

German book about history of Bitterfeld area has this on Thurland:
