Hello,
I think napalm had been used during WWII massively since 1942 but mainly on the pacific TO. Nevertheless napalm was largely used against the French and Anglo/French islands still held by the Germans after D-Day. On the western TO white phosphorous incendiary bombs had been more massively used than napalm I think. Is there any evidence of massive use of napalm in CAS againsy German troops or only against Japanese ? And if not against Germans, why ?

Hi Panzermeyer
The only reference that I've ever come across about the use of napalm in Europe during WWII, was that it was used by the Americans during late 1944, early 1945.
The only other information that I can give was that it was being dropped by units flying the Northrop P-61, night and all-weather fighter. As to the whereabouts on the Western Front it was used, I cannot say.
Regards
Bob
