Wehrmacht & Werewolf Agents, Units & Sabotage Equipment - 1945

Post by Richard Stone » 17 May 2023 09:33

The attached reports are either translations of captured German documents or US Army reports of the Wehrmacht & Werewolf sabotage and spy units, the sabotage equipment and the methods the German Army and Werewolf troops used or planned to use. The reports include the methods the US troops used to identify and capture the agents.

These reports are from the 1945 US Army Combat Notes report series and from the 1945 Tank Destroyer Information Newsletters. The report dates are listed in each attachment title.

I will post additional reports in follow up posts shortly.

I posted these reports in 2021 in the site section ‘Heer, Waffen-SS & Fallschirmjäger’. I’ve reposted it here after several researchers mentioned that they had not seen them or had difficulty locating them.

The following article discusses the Wehrmacht's September 1944 attack to destroy the railway and road Nijmegen Bridges using swimmers.

The original article was printed in the 1944 October 11th edition of the Weekly London Times. This copy of it was printed in the February 1945 edition of the USA professional military reference magazine ‘Military Review’.
