The attached short article discusses the US Army DUKWs (amphibious trucks) that were equipped with scaling ladders to aid the 2nd Ranger Battalion D-Day attack on Pointe-Du-Hoc.

The article was printed in the April 1949 edition of the USA professional military reference magazine ‘Military Review’.

Here is a follow up article about the drivers I wrote in 2017. https://www.theobservationpost.com/blog/?p=727
This was also printed in the Autumn 2017 issue of Sustainer, the journal of the Royal Logiostic Corps
