Technische Kompanie 133 any info?

Post by MarkusS » 20 Sep 2023 13:48

Dear all,

I just found out that the great grandfather of my wife was part of the Technische Kompanie 133 - HB (Hochbau). At least in 1944 and 1945 he was in Netherlands and captured in April 1945 in Pingjum. His unit was also stated as Sicherungs Regiment 26.
I checked Tessin, but no info there.

Has anybody any information on Technische Kompanie 133 or other Technical Companies in the Netherlands in 1944- 1945?

Best regards,

MarkusS

I think you are going to have a lot of work to do to find anything on an obscure company-size unit. These were too small to leave much in the way of records. Try BA-MA, which you can now search digitally online without the need to travel to Freiburg. IIRC, there is at least one book written after the war about the Heeres Technischetruppen, but I no longer recall the full title or the author's name.
