Pz.Lehr AFV casualties 06.06.-15.07.1944

Heavy tank and SPW losses in heavy fighting northwest of St. Lô.

Total losses since the start of the invasion:
38 Pz.V
31 Pz.IV
2 Flak.Pz. 38(t)
86 SPW.


Needing repair in Germany but not yet deported due to lack of transportation:
1 Pz.V
2 Pz.IV

In long term repair:
21 Pz.V
26 Pz.IV
38 SPW.

Completion not foreseeable due to spare parts shortage.

Note it also says 11 Pz IV are 'missing/'can not be found'. I presume that means allocated tanks not yet arrived or is it an extra 11 losses?

I think that refers to allocated replacements. Eleven were reported but had not yet arrived and no one seemed to know where they were. :D

Zetterling list the SPW losses for June (with a reference to the original document) as 86 which seems a bit of a coincidence as this is dated 15 July and gives the same total.

According to Ritgen the SPW losses for June were 82 SPWs.
