Hi guys,

I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the direction of maybe some info on the web or other reference material that goes over the fighting at the northern bridgehead at the Willemsbrug in Rotterdam in May 1940? I know plenty about the landings at Waalhaven and elsewhere in the Netherlands, but haven't been able to find anything going over in detail the fighting at the northern bridgehead in Rotterdam....I found one book, "The Race for the Rhine Bridges: 1940, 1944, 1945" by Alexander McKee that went over briefly the action at the northern bridgehead, mentioning a few of the larger buildings used by the Germans, but was looking for more. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Cheers,
Andrew

It maybe worth borrowing "Blitzkrieg in the West" by Jean Paul Pallud, from the Then & Know series/format. It has some 50 pages detailing the battle for Holland, with plenty of pics and maps/diagrams

ISBN 0 900913 68 1
