Hammelburg raid and Jagdpanthers

I've got two different magazine articles covering Patton's attempt to free his POW son-in-law in the last days of the European war. One, 'Command' speaks of the task force being engaged by either Hertzers, Ferdinands or Jagdpanthers, while 'WWII Military History' claims it was a company of Jagdpanthers. Does anyone know if this was actually the case?

Well he'd be the guy that would know given they shot his command up! 'Command' magazine was very good in 'order of battle' respects but this particular edition was published 10 years or so ago. The 'WWII Mil History' mag was the latest issue so it may well have had access to additional sources that cleared things up.
