There was a book published in 1985 by Centre of Military History US Army that describes 3 battles. One is a lenghtly account of the Huertgenwald and its called "Objective Schmidt ",telling you in very detail why desaster struck the US Army along the "Kall Trial" when a Sherman got stuck on that narrow road and things escalated from there. The book gives the names of the participants in that awefull struggle, there are exellent maps and arial photographs from the battle in this book.
Its worth buying.
