Some "Premieres"of the 17 August 1943,all this information according to the book "Forteresse sur l'Europe" Roger Antoine editions Rossel.
Three main mission this day,Schweinfurt,Ratisbonne by USAAF and Peenemüde by the RAF.
First long range mission over Germany by the USAAF.
First attacks against Schweinfurt,the capital of the ball-bearing.
First mission clock,inter-continental mission,England-Ratisbonne-North Africa.
First American air raid on the South of France.
First use of the H2X radar over a target by American over Francfort-on-Main.
First Air Raid against Peenemüde (VI/VII) by the RAF.
First nigth interceptions of the device "Wilde Sau"
First B-17 landing in Switzerland.
First time that the Allied lost was upper 100 aircrafts;121of which four-engined planes in 24 hours .
First lost of a BOAC Mosquito.
First use of "red fires" as target mark by the RAF.
First use of smoke-producing candles for the facility assembly of the US Box.
First murder by civilians German of a US Airman.
First use of the "Schärge Musik" by Luftwaffe.
First use of a Master of ceremony .
Fisrt operationnal use of 300L drop tanks on the P-47 Thunderbolt.
First air mission of the Neerland Squadron 320 on Calais.
First time lost of a B-17 (group 390)with onboard of the same plane two brother.
