I was reading this article:
https://www.warhistoryonline.com/instan ... minsk.html
Does anyone have pic's of the said tank? I gather that after it must have been a rather "turist" atraction for german soldiers with cameras.
Reason for asking is new Trumpeter T-28 in "the only true scale"
T-28 crew:
Major Vasechkin – tank commander and the main turret gunner
Senior Sergeant Dmitry Malko –tank driver
Cadet Fedor Naumov – tank loader
Cadet Nikolai Pedan – right-hand turret machine gunner
Cadet Sergey (surname unknown) – left-hand turret machine gunner
Cadet Alexander Rachitsky – main turret rear machine gunner
Minsk T-28 charge
Re: Minsk T-28 charge
Thanks. Some visible characteristics:
- Radiator louver for tanks produced 1937-1940 (as on Trumpeter kit)
- RH box for tanks produced 1938-1939 or for up amored tanks
- RH tool and spare parts (behind the box) IMHO for tanks produced 1938-1940 (as on Trumpeter kit)
- small turret front looks uparmored
- drive sprocket IMHO ordinary i.e. pre late 1939
