Also 160. and 166 Reserve Divisions which were also stationed in Denmark, did they also completely with Danish light weapon ? thank

Hi Kelvin,

I have a Zustandsbericht for the 233. Panzerdivision as of 20.4.45, it doesn´t give much detail about the types of light weapons but it looks to me like it is mostly german equipment (see attachment).

I have the whole file on my Google Drive if you are interested, see under T-315 233. Reserve-Panzerdivision: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... share_link

Regards,

Pål

Hi, Pal, thank so much for your help in weapon list of 233.Pz Res Division, very detailed and helpful.

With regard to another link, it is very difficult to open. Is it weapon list for individual division in 20.Gebirgs Armee in late period of war ? I would like to know if they were equipped with a lot of foreign weapon ?

e.g. 6.Gebirgs Division had Dutch Lewis M20, Soviet DP-27 and Maxim, Czech ZB-26 and Norwegian Madsen.
169.infanterie division had 57 x Soviet DP-27 and 11 x Czech ZB-26 LMG on 01st Feb.

German still fielded a very strong field Army : at least 15 divisions in Dec 1944 : 163,169,199,210,230,270,274,280,295,702 infanterie divisions, 14.Luft.Feld Division, 2, 6,7 and 6.SS Gebirgs divisions.

George Nagziger book also mentions Norway sector had 971,972,973,974,975,976,979,978,979 and 980. Kusten-Artillerie Regiments to protect Norwegian coastline and it was also equipped with foreign guns but his book only mentions country but not model.

Hi Kelvin,

Is there a specific document that is difficult to open?

There are several Zustandsberichte for AOK 20 (for example T312R1064 65635-15 wich is for October to December 1944), these list beutewaffen for the different divisions. There were a lot of them, especially for the coastal defense divisions.

Some examples from December 1944:

169 ID - 68 le.MG (r), 11 le.MG (n), 11 le.MG (t), 12 Selbstladegewehre (r)
230 ID - 60 Karabiner 411 (n), 196 Karabiner 298 (p), also Norwegian machineguns and French mortars in the 859 Festungsregiment while the 349 IR had german weapons.
6 GebD - 16 Selbstladegewehre 258 (r), 413 Gewehre 424 (gr), 103 MP (r), 2 MP (finn), the supply troops had 37 Dutch, 3 Czech and 2 russian LMGs.
270 ID:
482 Karabiner 29 (p)
25 Gewehre 294 (j)
56 Karabiner 411 (n)
478 Gewehre 211 (n)
105 Gewehre 24 (t)
20 Pistolen 657 (n)
81 Pistolen 640 (b)
86 Pistolen M 27 (t)
94 Pistolen 35 (p)
160 Pistolen Kal. 7,65 mm
88 MP 34 (ö)
2 le MG 26 (t)
78 le MG (n)
4 s MG M 37 (t)
43 s MG 245 (n)
4 6 cm GrW 225 (f)
20 5 cm fest.Gr.W. 210 (f)
5 8,1 cm GrW M 35 (n)

Also, the types of foreign guns in the Kusten-Artillerie in Norway as of 20 Feb 45 can be found in T312R1651 75881, are you able to download that? If not let me know and I can send it to you by mail for example.
