German units in area Dorpat in August/Setember 1944

hi,

a friend who is assisting a Russian author who wrote about his father's unit (his father died in the vicinity of Tyrwa near Dorpat(Tartu)) asked me to ask in a WW II forum whether there is any information about german units fighting at that time in that area.

II Army Corps which included elements of 20 SS Division and other Estonian units among other things.

Although Tõrva (Tyrwa) is indeed near Dorpat/Tartu, this area was covered not by the II.A.K but XXVIII.A.K. More details here:
