Hi, everyone, I am looking for some Soviet units location in battle of Kiev and the Azov in 1941 :

81st and 99th Rifle divisions as Southwestern Front reserve on 01st Sept 1941 in battle of Kiev, did those units really take part in battle or inside pocket or just reserve units fast away ?

And did 150th and 296th Rifle divisions take part in battle of Azov or just fast away in battlefields.

Thank

99 Rifle Division was virtually wiped out in the Uman pocket and was formed anew in September 1941. The division was employed between Melitopol and Zaporozhie in late September.
81 Rifle Division was assigned to the 38 Army on the outer side of the pocket in mid-September. See the scheme here:

Hello, Art, thank for your help.

But did 150th and 196th Rifle Divisions take part in battle around Melitopol in early Oct 1941, I see they both are included in 9th or 18th Armies ' OOB on 01st Oct 1941 ?
