Can someone identify the building marked in red in front of the Reichstag?

Used to be corner of Dorotheen Str. 38-39 and Hermann Goering Str. 27 (that's the street you can see in the middle of the photo).
Now according to Google maps it's on the corner of Dorotheen Str. 103 / Ebert Str. 25

One of those buildings which survived the war...

Thank you for the information. But I was thinking whether it was any important government building that came inside the premises of the government quarters of the Third Reich.

Probably just an apartment building. The map of 1911 shows only the French Embassy building on the opposite side of the same block:

A view on the same building from a different perspective (behind the captain's shoulder):

According to Berlin address directory from 1943 that building hosted several offices of Association of German Engineers - Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI).

Thanks GregSingh for the valuable research and information. So it means it was not some kind of an important government building but an Academic and educational one.

And the picture shared by Art of the same building is really great that I had not seen before. Seeing the Reichstag building in front of it from a different angle.Great.
