From Lexikon der Wehrmacht:
Am 7. März 1945 erging dann folgender Befehl:
OKH/Ge,StdH/Org.Abt.
II 60912/45 g.Kdos. v. 7.3.45
Wiederaufstellung Gen.Kdo. LVI. Pz.Korps
Das durch Oberkommando H.Gr. Mitte aus Teilen des Gen.Kdo. XXXXII.A.K., Gen.Kdo. LVI.Pz.Korps und Stellv.Gen.Kdo. VIII.A.K. aufgestellte "Gen.Kdo. Korpsgruppe Schlesien"
wird mit sofortiger Wirkung in
"Gen.Kdo. LVI. Pz.Korps"
umbenannt.
Das Gen.Kdo. XXXXII.A.K. und mit Korpstruppen gilt mit sofortiger Wirkung als aufgelöst.
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gli ... IKorps.htm

So according to this order remains of the XXXXII Army Corps were included in the Korps Group Silesia which was renamed as LVI Panzer Corps on 7.3.45. The corps troops were disbanded according to this order.

How was the breakthrough made in the band of the 3rd Guards Army, which surrounded 42 ak.
The successful offensive of the 3rd Guards Army was hindered by the height 251.3 over the area. Not taking this height meant putting the whole operation into question.
In the period from January 9-11, height 251.3 itself was reconnoitered, the location of the firing points, the nature of the obstacles, the mode of enemy activity day and night. The fire system was accurately identified at an altitude and depth of up to 5 km.
So the operation itself. 389 Guards SD was in the reserve of the commander of the 3rd Guards. A. To carry out an operation to improve the situation before the attack of the main forces of the Army, a night attack was planned, for which the 1st and 2nd battalions of 1279 Guards were involved. cn. The battalions were secretly withdrawn to their initial position in the Rakow area on the night of 8-9 January. On January 9, 10, and 11, the battalions prepared for the operation and conducted increased reconnaissance.
The Germans were located in the dominant heights over the Rakow area. The key height was 251.3. These heights did not allow viewing the depths of the enemy's defense, especially in the direction of Drogovl. On the contrary, for the enemy, a free view of the terrain was opened up to 5 km deep into our defense. The enemy had the opportunity to maneuver freely in the depths of his defense. Given the engineering structures and open terrain in front of the heights, they did not promise success in the event of an attack in the daytime. An attack on heights in the daytime, even if successful, assumed high and very high losses. The defense in height was built on the principle of deep echeloned. Engineering structures were widely used. A large number of wood earthen structures and mine-explosive cover gave the defense greater strength and vitality. The grouping was defined as 500 soldiers and officers, 32 machine guns, 27 light and 10 heavy machine guns, 8-10 mortars, 12 anti-tank guns, and was supported by a 120 mm mortar battalion from Dembówk and two artillery divisions from the Drogovle area (approximately 12-105 mm howitzers) ... Also tactical reserves from Menprov 3/449 pp, Smykuv, Cyliny, Krosle 417 pp. Lipica up to 40 assault guns.
After receiving the initial information, a decision was made:
- Conduct a private operation with forces of 1/1279 joint venture reinforced by 950 AP, battery 454 optd, division "RS", platoon of sapper regiment. Carry out an attack at night without artillery preparation. Attack the main blow to the right along the railway. Auxiliary to the southern slopes of heights. To cover the enemy from the flanks and from the rear in order to completely destroy him and capture the height. To support the flanks of the advancing battalion, special groups of machine gunners and machine gunners, numbering 80 people, were created. The plan was developed by the Headquarters of the 389th Guards. SD was led by the commander personally. The attack was led directly by the commander of the 1st battalion.
Special attention was paid to communication especially with artillery. CP and IR of all levels have been prepared.
On January 10, 1945, at 23.00, the 1st battalion of the 1279th Guards rifle regiment began to reach its initial position and by 1.00 January 11, it had finished concentrating.
Exactly at 2.00, the battalion, without artillery preparation, burst into the height of 251.3 with a quick attack and in a fleeting battle destroyed about 150 soldiers and officers at the height and its slopes and took 41 prisoners. A number of enemy soldiers managed to escape from the height.
The enemy, having received information from the fleeing, opened fire at the height but was immediately suppressed by the prepared fire of 950 ap. The enemy suffered the greatest losses from the fire of 3 rifle companies in the rear of the hill while trying to escape.
The enemy made three counter attacks during the night, but was unsuccessful. Artillery and skillful management helped.
12.01.45 at 5.00 The army launched a successful offensive, broke through the German defenses, the losses of the army were not significant.

Here are some more links. Here the first day of the Oder operation in the zone 1 of the Ukrainian front of Konev. In my opinion there are losses of three armies in the first day of the offensive. There are also losses every day in the magazines of these armies and in the magazine of the 1st Ukrainian Front.
Average losses for each army in the first three days are 200-300 irrecoverable. In addition to the 3rd Guards Army, which lost only 16 people on January 12. After January 15, losses drop sharply by 8-10 times.
Read more for yourself. But they are significantly less than in German sources for this period. Probably the Germans consider losses in the spirit of 41 years. However, you can not believe the documents. Although these internal documents are unlikely to lie. Any inspection would reveal a shortage of personnel.

Most of the 17,000 prisoners captured by the 3rd Guards Army were just XXXXII AK. Below is a summary of the losses inflicted on the enemy. I will not translate for you annihilated. You can translate it yourself if you want. The figures for the destroyed ones are too high. Try to check how much is left behind when you have walked almost 500 km. But the captured equipment is not overstated. Therefore, the numbers are more accurate. And we will translate them.
The prisoners were 17 850 people. Serviceable or unburnt tanks and SU 187. Wheeled armored vehicles and half-track armored personnel carriers 90. Guns 379. Mortars 240. Machine guns 424. Trucks and cars 4406. Tractors (probably half-track and RSO including) 65. Motorcycles 522. Steam locomotives 32. Wagons 1600. Drezin 2. Echelons with cargo 3. Ambulance trains 1. Armored trains as much 2. Fuel 101.5 tons. Horse-drawn carts with loads of 2120. There were warehouses with ammunition 51 of the quartermaster's 57. Signed by the Chief of Staff of the 3rd Guards and the Chief of the Operations Department and the Assistant to the Chief of the Operations Department for experience.
