Use Of Railway Trains To Create Mobile Wehrmacht Headquarters - 1943

Post by Richard Stone » 01 Mar 2022 12:35

The attached short article discusses the Wehrmacht's use of railway trains and railway equipment to form mobile headquarters units during the Russian campaign. This report is dated for the 1943 period but it is possible this arrangement was used in the 1941 -1942 period.

This version of the article is translation of a German press article dated 6 July 1943. It was printed in the October 1943 edition of the USA professional military reference magazine ‘Military Review'.
