" Telex from AOK 6 /OQu

TO OKH Gen.OQu

Day report 23.7

1) Supply situation
The strained fuel situation has not been remedied yet. While the supply of the XIV Pz AK is secured until the Don and it has been succeeded to deliver twothird VS to VIII AK, and achieve a limited mobility of the corps , the LI AK is immobile with large parts because of fuel shortage. Delivery of 100 cbm fuel to the LI AK can show effect at the troops 25.7 at the earliest.
The from B command pre-reported quantities of 780 cbm fuel in Belowodsk for the 22.7 evening and 23.7 , of which 500 cbm should be forwarded to Bokowskaja, are not yet arrived at 23.7 18 hour. Fast forwarding to Belodowsk is promised by command. Because of this delay, it is impossible to deliver the urgently needed quantities of fuel for 25.7 to VIII AK and LI AK. Therefore the movement of these corps will come to a standstill again, the 26. at the latest when it is not helped by a drastic measure at 24.7 by Oberstleutnant i.g Pollex and a fuel delivery of twice 200 cbm to Bokowskaja. Consequently the AOK can only count with the supply goods which are still brought forward by itself from the supply base Charkov. A switching to the area Millerowo-Kantemirowka from the Charkov base is not possible under these circonstances.
The AOK reports that the supply of the army from the Charkov base is not secured with the supply column capacity now available.
The AOK requests urgently that the many new Army troops are delivered fully filled up by the commands that hand them over.
High ammo consumption of 5 cm KwK L 60 and 7,5 cm KwK long. Ammo air delivery requested at Oberstleutnant i.g. Pollex.

" telex

From AOK 6/OQu to OKH /Gen.Qu

Day report 24.7

Supply situation

The fuel situation is still tense. By putting in motion 500 cbm from Belowodsk and 500 cbm from Woltschansk with 'Grosstransportraum' a relaxing of
the fuel situation is expected in 2-3 days.
To bridge, delivery of 200 cbm each on 26 and 27.7 by transport aircraft is promised.
Ammo consumption -especially at XIV PzAK- has become higher because of stronger enemy resistance. Pushing up ammo comes henceforth stronger in the foreground.
Continuous supply in the new base Millerowo is necessary.

" Telex
28.7.1942 from AOK 6.OQu to AOK 6/ Chief of staff

Day report 28.7.1942;

Supply situation:

Continuously inceasing ammo consumption at the divisions in combat, especially in lF.H. and KwK ammo. The stocks of individual divisions have already sunk to 30%. The numbers fired are considerably higher than the quantities moving up at the time. It is urgently necessary that in one immediate allocation with 'Grosstansportraum' ca 1000 ton are delivered to Bokowskaja. Over and above that to compensate until the arrival of the supply columns, the delivery of 150 ton l.F.H. ammo with aircraft is requested to Bokowskaja because otherwise crisises will happen with this ammo. The delivery with transport aircraft was already requested for the 27.7 from Oberstlt Pollex.
The supply with fuel is to be considered as secured until 30.7 after the arrival of the 1000 ton with Kw.Tr.Rgt 602 . Then, again delivery of fuel to Bokowskaja in the same volume is necessary.
