Point 1 of day report 4.11.1942
Firing as on earlier days.
No ammo trains arrived today.AOK anticipates 2 ammo trains on 05.11 in Tschir.
It is requested to accelerate the ammo trains that are moving up because a higher firing volume is to be anticipated from 07.11.
Fuel situation still unsatisfactory.
The need for lighting means cannot be covered from the stocks of the Army. Indreased allocations are requested."

From AOK6/OQu to 1)OKH /Gen.OQu
2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6
Point 1 of day report 6.11.1942
Low firing.
By the arrival of further ammo trains, the ammo situation of the Army is sufficient.
Fuel inflow still insufficient. In october daily only 456 cbm were delivered instread of the allocated daily contingent of 850 cbm.
Considerable deficiency in Diesel, motor and transmission oil. At motor and transmission oil requests , only low additional quantities of motor oil were allocated until now, which did not cover the demand. Need of motor oil is 6-8%.
Delivery of food is urgent. Troop has to rely now on its partially only low stocks.
Fodder trains with unbagged corn make the distribution and delivery to the troop considerably more difficult.
Since 6.11 strong rainfall. Column traffic already considerably hampered. By the deployment of tractor means and a the setting up of a ferry service at Rytschow , the Army will maintain the performance of the transshipment Tschir-Loshki on the former level. To reinforce the performance of the line Loshki-Gumrak , 4 pairs of rail tractors are expected on 7.11 in Tschir."

Point 1 of day report 8.11.1942
Low firing.
Because of new disruptions on the line Belaja Kalitwa- Tschir, the train inflow was fully insufficient. Fuel and food did not arrive yet. Fuel situation tight through this, food situation not better yet.
The urgently needed inflow of ammo trains needed to fill up the units allocated to Stalingrad suffers considerable delays because of this.
Fast delivery of s.F.H and s.J.G especially urgent.
Because of considerable cold , the fast bringung up of coal and firewood is necessary to maintain the resistance of the Army."

2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6
Point 1 of day report 9.11.1942
Low firing.
The train inflow was again unsatisfactory and was far from the demand of the Army. Only one supply train reached Tschir on the evening of this day.
The supply traffic was severely disrupted by continuing difficulties on the broad gauge track.
The Army tries to execute the necessary supply missions by using the whole column capacity and putting back other tasks.
Unloading of supply trains that are already ready to depart and reloading on columns leads to unavoidable delays in the delivery of ammo to Stalingrad.
Supply situation is tight because of the continuing difficulties on the main supply lines."

Re: Logistical data 6 th Army Fall Blau
excerpt from a message of 9.11.42 by 6 Army on logistical situation(RH 20-6/792 P108-110)
" II.Railroad and transport situation
The performance of the railroad from Lichaja to Tschir is at the moment ca 13-14 trains. The highest performance(18 trains) should be reached in the forseeable future.
From the 18 trains a day are earmarked:
10 trains for supply OQu
2 trains for the Luftwaffe
1 train for Kodeis
1 train for soldiers on leave from the front
1 train z.b.v plan
1 train for troop transport
1 train for rail coal
1 railroad service train
Of the 10 supply trains must be driven daily 2 hospital trains and 2 with field railroad material.
The Army anticipates that after finishing the field railroad and in case of lower numbers of wounded in winter, 2 trains more will be availble for it for the pure supply.
At the moment in the best case and at the highest performance of the railroad only 6 trains are available for the actual supply of the Army.
To cover the current supply(without stocking up) the folowing need exists at the Army:
ammo 1 3/4 trains
fuel 1 3/4 trains
flour and food 1 train
hard fodder 1 train
WiB 1 train (barracks, buiding wood, buiding material, obstacle gear, clothing etc...)
total: 6 1/2 trains
raw fodder: 2 trains
wood and coal: 1 train(to heat the accomodations
total: 9 1/2 trains
This results in the request that for the Army additional possibilities for the transport of supply goods have to be created.
Such possibilities are seen:
a) by ceding trains from the daily train contingent insofar that it is not to the disposal of the Gen.OQu
b) by moving supply trains to Tinguta and Millerowo whereby however reinforcing of the truck transport capacity is necessary to bridge over the long distances to these rail stations
c) by allocation of additional column capacity and the corresponding fuel to fetch supply goods with trucks from railway stations further to the rear with higher line performance."
