" Telex
From AOK6/OQu to 1)OKH /Gen.OQu
2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6

Point 1 of day report 20.8.1942

General supply situation

Train arrivals in Millerowo from 19.8 to 20.8 bad because of rainfall.
Ammo situation satisfactory except 10 cm Kan. and s.F.H. Supply in 10 cm Kan will be expected at the troop on 21.8 evening and s.F.H. on 22.8 evening.
Filling up of XIV Pz corps with fuel to 2 1/2 VS will only succeed on 22.8 .
13.8-19.8 therefore in 7 days are arrived for AOK 6 in Millerowo :
2600 to ammo
4750 cbm fuel
2325 to rations
that is on average daily 370 to ammo, 675 fuel and 330 to rations. This quantity corresponds to only 3 trains and is therefore in fuel far, in ammo and rations 1/3 under the demand.
The train effort of 4 trains daily is not reached.
On the part of the AOK 6 the acceptance of 8 trains is ensured at transshipment position Forchstadt from 25.8. At the moment of the switching however , on this route must also arrive 2 fuel trains daily so that the operations remains fed. AOK proposes that from 25.8 for ca 3 days supply goods still arrive over Millerowo to be able to compensate fluctuations in transshipment. Accepting trains at the same time in Millerowo and Forchstadt is not possible for the Army over time."

2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6

Point 1 of day report 21.8.1942

General supply situation

Higher volume of fire through attack operations over the Don. The already low stocks of s.F.H. ammo have further diminished. The AOK hopes to fill up the divisions and Army artillery Abteilungen with s.F.H. ammo on 22.8 . Ample delivery of this category of ammo is still urgent given the to be expected combat.
The fuel consumption was somewhat lower today, will however be considerably higher on 22.8 . Daily delivery of 1000 cbm fuel to Millerowo to feed the operations for the next days is of decisive importance.
Supply of rations at this time sufficient.
At l.F.H. 16 the delivery by rail is urgent . A deficiency here would be especially detrimental as all divisions with lF.H. 16 are united in one corps which in addition is tasked with the flank protection of the attack wedge. "

Point 1 of day report 22.8.1942

General supply situation

High volume of fire on the north wing of the Army. The volume of fire was lower than on earlier days at LI and VIII AK. The high need of the corps in s.F.H. ammo could only partially be covered by the forward arriving supply columns. However, s.F.H ammo is continuously in delivery so that a gradual improvement can be expected in the next days.
Fuel supply is barely sufficient at this time. Further regular supply is urgently needed."

2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6

Point 1 of day report 23.8.1942

General supply situation

High fuel consumption because of the fast advance of the XIV Pz AK to the Wolga , which will continue because of the expected heavy fighting in the area to the north of Stalingrad.
The volume of fire on 23.8 was low because of the success of the surprise. In the next days however the AOK expects defensive fighting and high volume of fire.
Beginning deficiency in KwK 5 cm. Because there is no inflow by rail of this type of ammo and the stocks in the Army depots are almost exhausted , the delivery by air has special importance because the expected numbers of firing cannot be replaced.
Further it is requested to prepare the air drop of 5 cm KwK lg , 7,5 cm Kwk lg and fuel so that delivery can take place anytime.
Transshipment point Forchstadt including temporary road bridge over Donez finished. Thorough discussion concerning building line Tschir-Don , Donez and Don bridge took place on 23.8 at Belaja Kalitwa between Bedeis, Gen.Major Will and OQu. "

Point 1 of day report 24.8.1942

General supply situation

Still high volume of firing on north wing of the Army where intene defensive fighting continued also today. The firing of ammo at the attacking corps on the eastern shore of the Don was moderate.
There is still a particular deficiency in s.F.H ammo because the inflowing quantities cannot cover the volume of firing especially in this ammo category. THere is also still lack of ammo for 5 cm KwK lg , which cannot be satisfied anymore with resources of the Army.
High fuel consumption. Because of the long supply roads it only succeeds in to keep the corps at a height of 1 VS. A filling up of the corps has not been possible until now because of the high consumption."

General supply situation

Because of heavy defensive fighting high firing volume and high fuel consumption.
The supply road to the units broken through to the Volga ,was temporarily interrupted.
240 shots ammo for 7,5 cm KwK lg were delivered by air. Air supply is again planned for 26.8.
At the transshipment position Forchstadt only one Kodeis train has arrived which is still in transshipment . Supply trains have not yet arrived.
Because of the threat of the west flank of the Army, measures have started to relocate the supply road to the south and clear the almost emptied supply base Bokowskaja."

Point 1 of day report 26.8.1942

General supply situation

Still high volume of firing, particularly artillery ammo. The bottleneck in ammo for l.F.H 16 can probably be bridged until 27.8 evening. Still lack of ammo for s.F.H as for 5 cm and 7,5 cm Kwk long. On 26.8 40 containers with 7,5 cm and 5 cm ammo were delivered by air drop to the forward parts of the 16 Pz div.
Still high fuel consumption.
Supply of the forward parts of XIV Pz AK was executed today by protected convoy. AOK reckons that by this the ammo and fuel situation was relaxed.
Air supply with KwK and anitank ammo is again requested for 27.8 .
At transshipment position Forchstadt no supply trains have arrived yet. "

" Telex
From AOK6/OQu to 1)OKH /Gen.OQu
2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6

Point 1 of day report 27.8.1942

General supply situation

Still high volume of firing at all deployed corps.Ammo for l.F.H 16 has arrived in forward AML so that the need of the troops could be fully covered . The inflow of ammo , especially artillery ammo only partially covers what was fired.
With the far distance Millerowo -Don the supply column capacity of the Army is not sufficient anymore to cover the full at this time very high need of the corps.
High fuel consumption.
Concerning the transshipment position Forchstadt there are no reports yet on train arrivals."
