From AOK6/OQu to 1)OKH /Gen.OQu
2) Command center B OKH/Gen.Qu
3) chief of staff AOK 6

Point 1 of day report 28.8.1942

General supply situation

High volume of ammo firing, high fuel consumption .
Because of a train accident on the line Waluiki-Ostrogoshsk the supply of Millerowo will be interrupted for a few days.
Until now no supply trains arrived in Forchstadt. It is urgently requested to accelerate with all means the inflow of trains to Forchstadt which was supposed to bring 8 supply trains each on 25,26,27 and 28.8 but brought nothing until now. Otherwise AOK 6 will in 2 days not be able anymore to deliver supply goods to the troop and just at this time heavy fighting is again to be expected.
On the evening of 27.8 almost the whole of the quartermaster Abteilung of XIV Pz corps was disabled through a bombing hit. Quartermaster, corps doctor, corps Intendant, H.mot., 1. W- officer were killed, 2. W-officer badly wounded. The Army has helped by sending several specialist officers to make the staff operational again.
The Oberquartermeister was today with a combat aircraft at XIV Pz corps to get a clear idea of the supply situation at the forward parts of the troop."

Point 1 of day report 29.8.1942

General supply situation

Still high volume of firing ammo, particularly on the northern front of the Army. In the main ammo categories the volume fired could be replaced. Lack of 7,62 cm Pak.
Fuel getting more scarce, because the inflow Millerowo falters . There are no reports yet of supply trains arriving in Forchstadt.
AOK again requests the fast moving up of the supply trains because otherwise the supply situation will be in danger."

Point 1 of day report 29.8.1942

General supply situation

Volume of fire was only somewhat lower than on earlier days. The Army expects on 31.8 on the north front violent defensive fighting and through this again increased firing.
Higher fuel consumption.
Today in the morning the first ammo train was transshipped in Forchstadt and forwarded to Porschin. A ration and fuel train are in transshipment.
Starting 31.8 AOK 6 will switch to transshipment position Forchstadt and railway point Porschin, with a smaller part of the supply column capacity gradually moving forward the supply goods still arriving in Millerowo."
