Hi everybody,

Would anybody know good books, websites, or stories
Of the battles of Krivi near Karhumäki (or Medvezhiegorsk)
in February of 1942 and also about its aftermath.

Recently this article caught my eye, so I read it, and it
also says that some(?) surrendered Russian prisoners of war
were shot. Was there are court case on this incident after
the war?

Seura
magazine article

Regards,
-Pete

There were two separate battles in Krivi in 1942. The first battle during Jan-Feb 1942 and the other smaller one between mostly Finnish 3rd Infantry Brigage and Red Army 289th Rifle Division during 15-18 Sept 1942. About the latter:

http://digi.narc.fi/digi/view.ka?kuid=3017703

Losses of 3rd Brigade during those four days: 63 KIA and 262 WIA, total 325. According database of deceased Finnish soldiers there are names of 93 deceased soldiers of 3rd Brigade (15-18 Sept 42) of which 73 KIA, 4 DOW, 16 MIA and declared death, total 93. So total losses been 325-351. Brigade got artillery + mortar support: 16,554 + 9,082 rounds. According war diary of 3th Brigade it estimated losses of 289th Rifle Division been "1571 killed in action" and continued: "only near in front line zone". Real losses of 289th Rifle Division are another story. Haven't found any primary source numbers of losses but if we follow the narrative of operations in Svir, April 1942 and little bit later in Kiestinki those claims of 1571 soldiers of 289th RD killed in action is likely exaggeration and perhaps all losses (KIA+WIA+MIA) might have been ~ 1500-2000. They also estimated 289th RD got field artillery support of 12,100 rounds + 5,700 of mortars.
"Military history is nothing but a tissue of fictions and legends, only a form of literary invention; reality counts for very little in such affair."

According to files of the Karelian Front 289 Rifle Division lost 346 men killed and 1 missing in September 1942. A search by casualty database gives 379 records in September 42 (not cleared of duplicates).
