The official AHF WW2 in Eastern Europe quiz thread

Post by Marcus » 31 Jan 2005 19:37

We've had several different quizes running here in the forum for a while with great success and this new section has been open for a while without one, so I'm starting one here too.

The rules are very simple:
The first one to post the correct answer to a question, posts a new question (must be on the WW2 in Eastern Europe) and so on.

/Marcus

Ok,I'll start:

What was the name of criticaly important strongpoint of the XXXXI Panzer Corps on the western side of Rzhev salient during the Operation Mars? It was defended by elements of 325. IR,41.IR,113 PzGrR and Fusilier Regiment of "Grossdeutschland" and attacked by Soviet 41th Army.

Good luck,

Gaius

Hvala ljepa for the compliment Mr.Gaius :) !

I guess my turn now. What was the name of the famous special (heavy) panzer regiment operating in January and February 1944 with Army Group South. Commanded by an officer who would later receive Swords to his Knight's Cross for actions of his regiment, the unit destroyed huge numbers of Russian tanks and played an important role in the Cherkassy pocket relief effort.

Good luck!

Thanks ! I was only too lazy for looking up the number of the PantherAbt ...

OK , a little bit more difficult ! Everybody knows the Tiger mentioned in the Tiger-Fibel with more than 200 hits ?

I want the place & date of the fight it got the hits and its turret number . The unit it belonged , too .
