Correct.
Stumme's corps headquarters being in the Balkans throughout the summer of 1941.
Over to you for the next question.

Nope
I thought it was too easy if it was only the date so I'm actually also asking for the exact time a day
Cheers,
Sean

Re: The official AHF WW2 in Eastern Europe quiz thread
OK... here goes my try:
Report Sept 14th- Sixth Army reports Divisions 71st and 76th managed to advance with an attacking wedge to the central station at midday, and with the waterworks captured, reached the banks of the Volga.
I believe they were pushed back a bit by an NKVD rifle battalion and later by the 13th Guards Rifle Division elements.

No I'm sorry
The occasion I'm thinking about happened in the Stalingrad REGION, but not in Stalingrad proper, and a bit earlier...
Cheers,
Sean Daniels

Yihaaj!!!
BINGO!!!
Here you go, your turn...
In Glantz' To the Gates of Stalingrad, he quotes Schröter which says a kampfgruppe from 16th Panzer Division reached the Volga north of Stalingrad at Rynok at 18.30.
But not sure if its precise or German or Russian time, so, YOUR TURN

Sean

After a row with Jodl and List and after Hitler dismissed General Halder (chief of Army General Staff) on September 24th, 1942...
Who was 'said' was going to be appointed to replace Jodle as the chief of the Army Command Staff?

Re: The official AHF WW2 in Eastern Europe quiz thread
Shouldn't we use German terms to make things surer?
So, General Halder (Chief of Army General Staff) OKH,
and Jodl as the Chief of the Army Command Staff, actually the Chief of Operations OKW.

No problem. But I haven't got a slightest view of your question.
