Sq. pg. is squadra pattuglia. The full statement in the book is 'buluc pattugliatori e tiratori scelti' (basically 'reece and elected marksmen').

I haven't found a believable explanation for 48 f.m. Something I am working on.

I am beginning to hate autocorrect. The correct translation is:

Sq. pg. is squadra pattuglia. The full statement in the book is 'buluc pattugliatori e tiratori scelti' (basically 'reece and Selected marksmen').

Of course, if I would slow down when typing, might catch more of these.
