Sorry, to be precise, I have never seen this level of detail (and actually did not know there were two variants)
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

1./528 had six 15,5 cm GPF-T, which may have been the only unit in Africa with them, although 523. and 533. may have also have had some. As late as 1 March 1944, 22 were still in German service of the 48 mobilized by the French in 1940.
