I have updated the post to reflect an additional loss I came about, 3xII and 2xIII for Nachschubstab 683 lost on Marin Sanudo, 4 March 1942. Sunk by HMS Uproar off Lampedusa while in transit Trapani - Tripoli.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
