I would be most grateful is someone could post a list of the Chiefs of the General Staff of the Greek Army during the period 1900 - 1945, or indicate a link to such a list (even if it is in Greek). I have searched and searched on the internet, even using the Greek version of the title as a search subject, and have been unable to find anything.

Better late than never I quess,
Regarding the list of the General Staff of the Hellenic Army at the beginning of 20th century, it is a little bit difficult to have, because initially there were 2 different services, sharing the responsibilities of the General Staff, creating a confusion.
Furthermore it is difficult to have clear chronological data. At the same time there were periods that no person was appointed, and consequently the position was manned by the current deputy

Bemerkung:

In der griechischen Armee gibt es nicht ein Offiziesrgrad „General“, es ist nur eine Generalbezeichnung für die Offiziere die höher als ein Oberst stehen, und zwar:

„Taxiarchos“ in der deutschen Armee Brigadegeneral, ein Silberstern und zwei Schwerte
„Ypostratigos“ in der deutschen Armee der Generalmajor, zwei Silbersterne und zwei Schwerte
„Antistratigos“ in der deutschen Armee der General, drei Silbersterne und drei Schwerte

Hi AJK,

The names I posted, where retrieved by a book published by the Directorate of History of the General Staff of the Hellenic Army. It is in the greek language.
The book has a description on the development of the General Staff in the Hellenic Army organization and presents a short biographical note of the chiefs of staff until the late '90s.
I do not know if it is still available for selling.

As far as I know there is no book published about Greek generals, except the above mentioned regarding the chief of staffs, only. We are talking about the Army generals only. There is no such book about the Air Force and Navy generals.

I think its Ζήσης Ιωάννης (Zisis Ioannis) and Ζωιόπουλος Χρήστος (Zoiopoulos Christos). Ζωιόπουλος is actually a common surname.
