"arrested and executed" implies something like a lawful procedure. That did not take place.

Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg were abducted and murdered.

greetings, the pb
Well one can be arrested and executed without an lawful process. But I agree the wording generaly implies somekind of lawful process.

Interesting how heroes are selected or noit.

The only heavy cavalry of the Peasnts led by Thomas Muentzer were those of Florian Geyer, who was also hailed by Engels and inspired the markist song gave his name to the left wing hymn Wir sind des Geyers schwarzer Haufen" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0p-egT5vek
I guess there are no NVA Florien Geyer units because there was also an SS division of that name.

Prince Gerhard Blucher seems an unlikely hero of the workers and peasants state. He seems scarcely less a counter revolutionary type than Scharnhorst or Gneisenau - or how about Yorck von Wartenberg?
