Hello Sid - I have provided an answer about this particular medal.Sid Guttridge wrote: ↑27 Oct 2018, 12:46Hi Volyn,
A good list.
However, again there are awards that would not be available to other armies. For instance, there was no British "Army of Occupation Medal" available.
Definition of Army of Occupation: an army sent to occupy and control the territory of a conquered enemy.https://www.merriam-webster.com/diction ... occupation.
This is an award that can be considered a campaign medal, especially considering these were active combat participants who conquered their enemy and then they were awarded the medal to confirm it (albeit retroactively starting on 2 April 1947). But the date of award matters; if a soldier was awarded this medal for their duties in West Berlin circa 1970, then it would not be counted in this list because clearly no combat was involved to have earned it (just the threat of it).
