Good afternoon all,
Per ...
Dr Buck invented/developed the Craytron.
Article is FWIW; IN 1959, what was background for Soviet scientists to visit this MIT lab and IBM ?
Article mentions Noam Chomsky (a member of the visiting Soviet scientists delegation ?).

Another conspiracy theory. Like Flat Earth only boring.
The cryotron was a dead end invention.
Two wires submerged in liquid helium - nobody was going to build computers from a mass of wires and helium.
By that time smaller than cryotrons, high speed, reliable transistors were sold, and transistor computers existed.
And didn't need any helium.

Good morning Wm,
For us Americans....some of us, at least....the article did provide an "I&W" - the military intelligence abbreviation for "indicator and warning".
The name Noam Chomsky........ Chomsky would appear as a wacko radical out of place even at a Trotsky meeting.

it seems he still was in his pre-wacko stage.
According to Wikipedia, he worked there as a linguist on a computer translation project.

Good morning Wm,
For only - some - of us; not all. Many "camp-followers" here.
Our nation was divided before, during and after the US Civil War.
Noam Chomsky was a "known-known".
