Good morning all,

Some recently declassified U-2 aircraft photos provide research material to archaeologists.

Note article's "U-2 spy planes that flew reconnaissance missions throughout the Middle East during the 1950s and 1960s". I find it "note-worthy" that the U-2 photographed "Iraqi marsh villages" and that the mentioned Harvard researcher is Professor Ur. Wasn't Ur the town / city where bibical Abraham and Sarah were from ? I believe Ur is now underwater and the current "town" / villages is now "Um Quassar" (my phonetic). This is the marsh area south of Abadan - Khorrammshahr.
