Good afternoon all,
Link is to a review of Julian Herbert book.
It's about an obscure - at least north of the Rio Grande River - 1911 massacre of overseas Chinese.
Less a history book, the author commingles several forms of writing. What I found interesting and why I'm spending time posting this is because the NYT review tells of the various forces on Mexican society involved in the massacre. These forces are present in other areas and eras also.
My main interest in this article is to try to find out where I can get a hat like author Julian Herbert is wearing in the accompanying picture.
