Gentlemen,
Are there any pictures of men in the West German Merchant Marine Service wearing German WWII awards that they won while serving in the Kriegsmarine? Does the German Merchant Marine have their own awards system?

I don’t see why a seaman post WWII would want to display any of his kriegsmarine medals while on duty.
In any case they would have to be “denazified” (post war reissued pc versions). Not sure why the post war new fleet of merchants would need awards. If any, I would think these were company related presents.

That what I meant. The Kriegsmarine veterans in the West German Merchant Marine service would only wear the German WWII awards only if they were "denazified" 1957 post war reissused versions. Well our US Merchant Marine has an awards system with many medals. Maybe the West German Merchant Navy have the same awards system like the US.
