Battle of the Boyne Participants?

Post by fw200condor » 11 Jan 2022 10:02

Are there any lists of the participants in the Battle of the Boyne? I am particularly interested in the rank and file who fought in the Huguenot Regiments on King William's side.

I'd search "Battle of the Boyle Eye witnesses" and see what you can find. What is your interest in the topic?

Thanks.

My interest stems from the fact an ancestor may have been involved, based on circumstantial evidence, including a letter of recommendation from La Melonière. I am trying to gather more concrete proof that he was a member of La Melonière's regiment.

Cheers.

There is an account book with the details of every soldier who fought for King William in the war in Ireland.

Try contacting Dr Jonathan Mattison, the curator of Museum of Orange Heritage in Belfast.
