The chief problem with the US/UK/Ukrainian pro-Ukrainian propaganda narrative is that it makes little to no military sense.
UKR took back Kherson and Lyman. Of course that makes no sense to Putin fanbois.

The facts are clear. Putins imagined 3 day shock and awe is coming towards a year, now dominated by trench warfare. Putin is _such_ a military gene-E-US, the veritable Wile E. Coyote of the world.

Better yet. Why did the US and GB aid Stalin when he invaded more Polish soil than Hitler?

Russia is not losing the war right now. Like the Soviet Union in 1941-1942 they have never been losing the war.

They have more strategic depth than Ukraine in 2023.

The claims of US/UK/Ukrainian propaganda, wishful thinkers and ignorant morons are wrong: Ukraine is the side that is losing.

However the longer the war continues, the strategic weight can move to their side. If Russia is still in the positions it is now in 2024 then I will say that Russia is losing.

What they do in the spring-summer of 2023 is strategically decisive for the course of the war.
At what cost, my friend? 200 thousand dead, 300? Is Ukraine truly worth that to Putin? If so, why? Ego trip? LSD? I've drank Vodka only for about 20 years, so it's not that.

I must hand it to Russia for distilling good Vodka. Many a doomed man has sought, and received, its comforts.

Maybe for the same reason Poland helped Hitler dismantle Czechoslovakia in 1938?

Nevertheless, the Kremlin should examine long-term strategic resolutions to their State's problems rather than "quick fixes". Occupying Ukraine will simply cost them more lives and money in the long run. Whatever legitimate grievances they had against Ukrainians in Luhansk/Donetsk pre-Feb. 22 should be brought before the Hague. This is not a pell-mell authorization to commit genocide against Ukraine.

People are not as stupid as in the days of Hitler's preposterous "Sudetenland question". There is very little difference between the Sudetenland and subsequent Czechoslovakia rape to today's attempted theft of the Donbas by Putin.

Turkey is a de facto ally of Russia:
Other than closing the Bosphorous Straights to RU mil traffic. And selling weapons to UKR. And sending UKR lots of non-mil aid.

Thats a pretty staunch RU ally there. Turkish weapons killing RU soldiers.

Of course Turkey wants to play both sides. However, calling Turkey a de facto RU ally is a looooonnng stretch.

Mad Dog
Other than selling Russian oil at the demand of Putin who uses the gains of this selling to make weapons to kill Ukrainians .

1 US did not help Europe in 1939 and 1940 : it did not declare war on Germany when the Germans attacked the Netherlands and Belgium . If it was possible, US would have sold war material to Germany after 1939 .
2 LL started only in 1941
3 The reason for LL was not that Hitler was a bad guy but that the end of Cash and Carry would hurt US economy and thus also FDR .
4 Why did US not help the Jewish Germans who wanted to emigrate to the US ?
5 Why did US not help China but Japan after the rape of Nanking ?
6 US did help Salazar, Franco, Pinochet ,although these were not good guys for the liberals of DC .
6 Why did US not sanction Turkey after its invasion of Cyprus ?
7 Why did Reagan resume the export of US grain to the USSR after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan ?

Wrong question : US and GB did not aid Stalin when he invaded Poland , but they aided him when Hitler attacked the USSR, not because they loved Stalin ( the fellow travelers were a minority ) but because the Soviets killed Germans, who otherwise would have killed Americans and British soldiers .

You are really delusional   This is the Ukrainian propaganda number.

In sum you and a couple posters here know absolutely nothing about the war in Ukraine.

Russian 'confirmed' dead is approx . 11,500. (BBC/Meduza) DPR reports a few thousand. Ukrainian minimum dead/missing is approx. 31,500. (Leadership claims) Ukrainian losses are likely several times that of the Russian.

Even if Ukraine's losses are the 'same' as Russia, Ukraine's attrition to its professional-contract cadre is several times worse than Russia due to differences in sizes.

In a war of attrition Ukraine will lose. It has a larger but lower quality army than Russia.

However it's in nobodies' interest to wage a war of attrition.

What the propaganda sources you confuse for facts don't tell you is that Ukraine's military performance in the attack is approximately a 1.5 out of 5 in this war with an extremely high failure rare.  They have been trying to take the Kremmenya salient since October 2022. They spent half a year failing against Kherson west bank.

Russian military performance in spring in the offense is approx. a 3.5 out of 5 all things considered. In the summer a 2.5-3 out of 5. Their main issue wasn't infantry losses but losses of vehicles.

The same argument appears in ISW, which I have posted.

The main problem with you and others is that you don't consult Russian or even Ukrainian sources at all, literally swallowing mainstream media fabrications wholesale with no critical judgement.

The Russian sources, despite their flaws are not quite as terrible as the torrent of made up garbage from the UK and US, including UK intelligence memes. The only worthwhile Ukrainian sources are their intelligence services, despite being a minefield.

A good description of the typical US/UK self proclaimed 'Ukraine war expert' is 'intellectual tourism'. A lot of confident sounding made up gibberish that is meant to preach to the 'choir'. Idiots, all of them  Tom Peters with his routine 14 posts in a row, typically with zero sources is just a wannabee
