Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
WWII propaganda should not be used as justification for targeting civilians. ... If Kiev ceded the area now occupied by the invaders in exchange for peace, would that mean Ukraine lost the war? ... Seemingly, the invaders are currently contained due to poor operational logistics. It's up to the Ukrainians to evict them. Short supply lines favor the Russians. The strategic land corridor and the over-water bridge to the Crimea will have to be cut.

I didn't actually.Michael Kenny wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 14:23Yes it does.
You claimed I was was attacking the US for 'war crimes' when in fact that charge is a figment of your imagination.

I said "That won't stop him talking more about America's 'crimes' in this thread about Russia's invasion of Ukraine than he will about Russian ones ..."
The second part of the sentence you are foolishly and predictably proving true.

Luftwaffe 1946!
Steiner is to be completely re-equipped with Maus tanks & LL and joined by Patton on a march to Moscow.
Not gonna happen.
China has Russia's back if that happens. Any Western/NATO 'flood' of weapons willbe a mere trickle in comparison to the tsunami of China's reaction.

Putin's recent statement that they are sending tactical nukes to Belarus was merely stating what was already decided a long time ago. They transferred Iskander-M units to Belarus military.

Michael Kenny wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 14:55Surely you realise that the steady stream of Western aid to Ukraine could become a flood once the West stops worrying about 'escalation'.
If you was smarter you might realise that your China intervention is the Luftwaffe '46 fantasy here ...Not gonna happen.

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
Yuri, statements from the political leadership make this quite plain. We can also look at their actions - such as claiming international waters as their own. Repeatedly sending aircraft to zones near TW. Massively increasing short range sealift capabilities.Yuri wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 03:46
How do you know that?
Are you a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee?
Perhaps the PRC is building its aircraft carriers and nuclear icebreakers in order to capture the Northern Sea Route from Russia and seize a short distance to transport its goods to Europe. And to mask these good intentions,
Thats a rather obtuse way of saying "putting the Taiwanese people under the CCP boot heel".

The evidence from over a year of RU bombing makes this appear to be more than mistakes. Im not sure what you expect when you send shitty old naval cruise missiles with a CEP of 500m into targets in a heavy urban environment.Michael Kenny wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 06:24I 'know' in the same as the those who 'know' the Russian bombing was a deliberate targeting of civilians.waldopepper wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 05:25
How do you know thay were not mistakes? Show us your evidence.
In short it matters not in the slightest if the killings were deliberate or intended. The effect is just the same. Neither The USA or The Russians care much about who gets killed and so they both lie and claim the other is doing it deliberately whilst they only do it by mistake.
Sorry, the US at least tries to avoid collateral damage. The RU army seems to make it a policy.
Nice try with the "whataboutism" though.

Good gravy. Your # inflation keeps going. 105 infantry btl. ? Can you at least quote a # thats believable ?
Or just wait for Putin to fall out a window, or the RU economy to take a serious nosedive.

Changing your tune a bit arent you ? Before, you were claiming that CH would back RU no matter what. Now it seems the CH aid is contingent upon another action of the west ?Michael Kenny wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 14:55

The town of O-V has degenerated into positional fighting. Overall it appears that Wagner is taking a defensive stance in the northern salient.
Milley claimed that Wagner is currently 6,000 professional contractors among a total of 36,000-26,000 Wagner troops. The rest are convicts/recruits.

“As of today, the battle for Bakhmut has almost destroyed the Ukrainian army,” Prigozhin said in a statement on Wednesday, using the name by which Kiev calls the city. His own Wagner Group companies also took “a serious beating,” he acknowledged.
A victory by his troops would be “a turning point” and a historic event, securing a Russian victory, Prigozhin predicted.
The Russian army alone will be left on the chessboard, and all other pieces will be removed,” he forecast. “Even if PMC Wagner is destroyed in the Bakhmut [sic] meat grinder but takes the Ukrainian army with it … it would mean that we have accomplished our historic mission.”
The Ukrainian leader (Zelensky) explained to The Associated Press earlier this week that if Russia were to capture Artyomovsk, his government would come under international and domestic pressure to seek peace with Moscow.
“Our society will feel tired,” he told the news agency, “Our society will push me to have compromise with them.”
