Prigozhin:
"No, the Ukrainian army is not running anywhere. The Ukrainian army is fighting bloody battles and defending Artemivsk at the cost of very serious losses. We move forward, we take every building, every entrance, every garage between buildings. There are about 800 buildings (high-rise buildings) in Bakhmut, if we talk about each entrance, you will get tired of listening to us. When we take Bakhmut, then we will talk about it.
Another important aspect to note is the retention of the flanks. Today we need to concentrate in the city, because this is a very huge amount of combat work, the flanks need not to let us down, so that they are held by our allied units. "

Ken referred above to "the catastrophic US Foreign policy blunder of uniting Russia and China."
Actually the right to invade small countries (that don't love you) is what unites Russia and China.

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
US policy blunder ? Last I checked it was RU invading UKR. China is not happy about that, to begin with. I hear Xi has written a strongly worded letter in favor of RU.Michael Kenny wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 18:08It pales in comparison to the catastrophic US Foreign policy blunder of uniting Russia and China.Tom Peters wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 17:40
We should thank Putin for working so hard in getting Finland and Sweden to join NATO.
How much in the way of artillery ammo or heavy weapons does this "uniting" currently deliver to RU ?

Hmm my dear friend, which countries has China invaded in the last, shall we say, forty years? In this, the United States have far more in common with Russia than Russia does with China...Globalization41 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 21:21Ken referred above to "the catastrophic US Foreign policy blunder of uniting Russia and China."

For here, we try to keep the subject to the RU invasion of UKR.

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
It would be great, if someone learnt it but they won't because air attacks and bombing of peaceful civilians stem from a decade of oppression peaceful civilians in Russia itself. Russian government or thugs in the head of Russia think that it is possible to suppress any resistance as we were seeing it in Russia in the last decade or more or even for a whole century any opposition in Russia and USSR was eliminated.waldopepper wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023 07:19
There is a difference in degree from which one may infer whether the respective bombing campaigns deliberately targeted cililians or not.
Viz. Out of thousands of NATO airstrikes in Iraq and Afganistan very few airstrikes resulted in civilian casualties. Ukraine on the other hand, Russian missle attacks often (perhaps mostly) hit civilian targets.
The Russian are learning that air attacks on the civilian population tends to strengthen the enemy's will to resist rather than sapping it.
But the main reason these days is TV propaganda and hatred in Russian military who now think of Ukrainians as untermensh. The West should start working on eliminated Russian propaganda from Russian TVs. If you fight with a beast or a rat, you should use the same tactics as this fascist rat uses. Assasination of main fascist propagandists would give a lesson to others what to choose: money or life. And it wouldn't be hard to conduct in Russia using Chechen opposition or bribery.

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
The thing is Putin conforms all his actions with Xi like a puuppet. All stages of escalation of war in Ukraine coincide with Putin's meetings or talks with Xi. Like on 4th of February Putin visits Chine and in the end of February invades Ukraine after Xi's approval. In the beginning of September (6th September) Ukrainians beat Russian troops in Kharkov operation and Putin has to meet Xi on 15th of September, then starts mobilization on 21st of September. Mobilization doesn't help as Ukrainians take back Kherson on 9th of November and Putin has to consult with Xi again. After having a video conference with Xi on 30th of December Putin sacks General Surovikin and appoints Gerasimov, preparing a big offensive. But an offensive fails at Bakhmut and Kremennoy and Putin is inviting Xi to Moscow to show Russian and Chinese... friendship or what. After that Putin announces that nukes will be located in Belorussia.Michael Kenny wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 18:08It pales in comparison to the catastrophic US Foreign policy blunder of uniting Russia and China.Tom Peters wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 17:40

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
Deluded fantasy. Russia can supply all the energy and minerals China needs to end her reliance on 'the west'. If Saudi Arabia is allowed into BRICS they will control half the worlds oil resources. There are benefits for both sides and 'the west' and its shills are trying very hard to mitigate the disaster that has befallen their plans to isolate and bankrupt Russia. The power of 'the west' to blackmail the rest of the world has been drastically curtailed and its downhill all the way for them from now on.Martin_from_Valhalla wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 23:12
Looks like Putin is just a puppet.Xi is warring with USA in economics and he whispers to Putin: let's overthrow USA from the throne of the world and Putin surely agrees not understanding that the time of Russia as a world power finished in 1991. Xi just wants to have a dialogue with USA as an equal peer, as someone who Americans should count and take into consideration. China is just using Russia as distabilizing factor when the time to come to an agreement with USA comes. And Russia with her resourses will be a nice gift to him in the end as a colony.

Re: news from Russo-Ukraine Front
Actually, the US is the largest oil producer in this Solar System.
China was never dependent on Western energy and minerals; China is highly dependent on Western markets.
BRICS isn't an alliance (like NATO) or union (like UE); it's merely a few financial agreements. Its members have little in common (unlike NATO and UE) or even are hostile to each other (e.g., China and India at the Line of Actual Control.)
Saudi Arabia tries hard to end the dependence of its economy on oil and heavily invests in tourism and financial services.
For that reason, it's pure forget it already that Saudi Arabia will ever become hostile to the West.
Because tourism is mostly mass of tourists from the West (see Dubai) and financial services require to be nice to everyone.

Only a year has passed since the beginning of war or a plan to bankrupt Russia. When USSR invaded Afghanistan, sanctions were also imposed on Soviet Union and we know how it ended, though the country was doing fine till the middle of 1980s. Sanctions are supposed to have its influence in the future, not now.
Anyway, those who do not want to be friends of the West become Chines puppets, it's a new law of geopolitics. BRICS is a joke today and has always been. Any country from this block can arrest Putin now, if he vizits her and in China he can't feel safe after that funny verdict. What if Xi decides to arrest him and give out to the West in exchange for some aminities?

In the 'free' & 'uncensored' west all Russian news outlets are banned. Did you not know this?
