U.S.S. Maddox ?
If I am right just ask a new question. I had too much to drink to try and raise a decent question.

Seems this was too difficult ... according to my sources, 29 unguided bombs did hit british ships, but only 10 exploded, since they were designed for the use on land targets, and didn´t arm due to the low drop height.

Imagine the disaster if the Argentinians would have had proper bombs:

Ship / hit by number of unexploded bombs / date

HMS Glasgow / 1 / 5.12.82
HMS Antrim / 1 / 5.21.82
HMS Argonaut / 2 / 5.21.82
HMS Ardent / 1 / 5.21.82
HMS Antelope / 2 / 5.23.82
RFA Sir Bedivere / 2 / 5.24.82
RFA Sir Lancelot / 1 / 5.24.82
RFA Sir Galahad / 1 / 5.24.82
HMS Broadsword / 1 / 5.25.82
HMS Plymouth / 5 / 6.8.82
RFA Sir Tristram / 2 / 6.8.82

An easier question:

Where did the Avro Vulcan bombers, which hit the Argentinians on the Falklands, take off ?

From the Ascension Islands to the Falklands and back - the longest (distance) bombing raid in history - until Desert Storm 1991.
