The official AHF other eras quiz thread

#1

Post by Marcus » 23 Aug 2003, 09:52

Over in my Swedish forum we've had a quiz thread running for a year or so and it has been a great success, so I think it is time to get one (or rather a few) started here too.
The rules are very simple:
The first one to post the correct answer to my below question, posts a new question (must be on a other eras, pre-Cold War topic) and so on.

Here is a question to get us started:
What was the fate of the Confederate ironclad Arkansas?

After kicking the asses of an entire Yankee fleet, she eventually was burnt to keep her out of the hands of the Northern aggressors.

6-19-64 as we would say, or 19-6-64 as you would.

No, that is not correct, at least not according to my sources.

Correct.

Dan got the answer right however as I didn't ask for the date originally, so Dan, it is your turn to post a question.

Who is buried in Grant's tomb?

Forget that one.

What was the name of General Lee's horse?

Stonewall Jackson's chaplin once found himself under attack. He commandeered an small artillery unit, and a detachment of cavalry and took charge, and defeated the Yankees. He had to resign his post, though, on account of his haemrhoids. Who was he?
