TD´s and SPG´s based on the Centurion chassis ?

Post by Yngwie J. » 27 Aug 2003 19:13

I´m looking for pictures of the TD prototypes FV4004 Conway and FV4005 Self-Propelled Heavy Anti-Tank Gun No.1, one of each built. I´m a bit confused concerning the latter as some sources mention two FV4005´s. The FV4005/1 with a limited traverse gun mount ( which correspond with the one allready mentioned ), and FV4005/2 which had a turreted gun. Were both versions built, or only the first one ? Also, did the TD projects FV3807 and FV4010 appear as prototypes ?

I´m also looking for pictures of the SPG prototypes FV3802 and FV3805, and information on the proposed SPG´s FV3806, FV3808 and FV3809.

Thanks,
Yngwie

Thanks A. :)

That´s a great site for anybody who´s interested in British AFVs. Looks like the FV4010 never made it past the drawing board.
