It visited USA during WW2
It was popular for a while in some "anti-communist" state.

Sikorsky S-38

Well, not really. Real estate developer Tom Schrade built this one on his own in the 1990's but I guess it's still a S-38.

BTW Topspeed, the movie "The Aviator" has been out here for some time!! :idea:

Aviator has been out here since January 28th 2005.

Now a further question about the 1930 design Sikorsky S-38; one of them was used in Africa in hunting/photo Safaris that carried a name referring to a female name and a biblical ship. What was it called and why ?
