OK, I immediately thought North American Light Bomber but I'm damned if I can find such a thing.

Other searches are proving fruitless.

Please throw me a bone and tell me it's "Role".

Sorry for the delay

The plane is a prototype ("B" version ) of a bomber that went to production and saw action during the WWII
Quite many ( series production) planes were built.

I looks a bit Italian to me ( my intuition doesn't work that well as yours

I was counting on that via the South American emblems (even the pic was B/W) the AF could be traced out. After that the rest would be fairly easy.

How about this one:

A state and an international organization signed a treaty in the Inter-war years. The treaty signified a profound change in the relations between the two parties and especially in the status of the latter. The results of this change are seen even today. One of the clauses in the treaty stipulated that practically all officials of the organization living in this state were to freed from military service in peace-time. What was this treaty?

A clarification which also serves as a hint: Actually, it is matter of three treaties but one often sees the term used in the singular as I did in my question. Strictly speaking one should use the plural form.
