Does anyone know any good book about the complete history of Prussia and the Prussians, until 1945?
Also, anyone knows a good book on Poland's history from the 17th century to 1795?

Walther,

Maybe this will interested you:

-Modern Prussian History by Philip Dwyer
-God's playgrounds by Norman Davis.

I didn't read these two books but for the few pages that i was able to read on the web they look very interesting. You can read some samples at Amazon.com. Just type the title and you will find it easily.

Oh i think this thread maybe belong in the reference material.

Regards

The best, and most readable history of Poland is :

DAVIES, NORMAN
GOD'S PLAYGROUND : A HISTORY OF POLAND
VOLUME 1 : THE ORIGINS TO 1795
Volume 2: 1795 TO PRESENT
NY Columbia Univ. Press 1982.

THE HEART OF EUROPE by Davies is a "light," condensed version of the above.
