In German books:
My number one favorite is "Unsere Nationale Volksarmee" there is two editions 1975 and the early eighties edition. Following not far at all from that is "Panzer, Flugzeug, schnelle Schiffe" by the same guy.
In English:
The two "East German Army" Editions by Forster. First one was printed in 1967 and the other in 1980.
"DDR Collectors Reference Guides 1949-1990. Volume 1, Flags and banners" from 1993. There was suppose to be like ten volumes over many a thing. But only one Volume was ever publishied.

Yes and a weekly newspaper too. The monthly magazine was named Armeerundschau and the weekly newspaper was Volksarmee. A few months into 1990 the newspaper changed it's name to Trend and published several issues under that name before it was discontinued.

Stasi Decorations and Memorabilia Volume II
Some of you may remember "Stasi Decorations and Memorabilia: A Collectors Guide" a groundbreaking work published in 1987 on East German Stasi medals and certificates by veteran Stasi collector Ralph Pickard.AR-11 wrote:Gentlemen,

Ralph is about to publish Volume II of Stasi Decorations and Memorabilia at around the end of December. In addition to new information on medals it expands into several new areas and there something for every collector from Stasi shoulder boards, collar tabs and cuff titles to plates, pins, as well as birthday, and anniversary memorabilia and documents. It's truly amazing what Ralph has covered in this second volume.
The section on the Wachregiment is extensive with 78 pages alone. There is also coverage of the Freie Deutsche Jugend, Juristische Hoschschule, SV Dynamo, KGB badges, wax seals and ink stamps and much. much more.
Ralph says the expects to start mailing out the book at the end of December. He is taking preorders and is discounting the book by $10 for those who submit a preorder now. For more information see:

Ralph was kind enough to send me an advanced copy of Vol II this week and here is a photo of it next to Vol I:
